Accessibility statement
Benoti wants everyone to be able to use this website easily, including people with a visual, motor, auditory or cognitive impairment. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549.
What we have done
- A clear page structure with one main heading per page and logically ordered subheadings.
- Descriptive alternative text for all photos. Purely decorative images are skipped by screen readers.
- The entire website, including the mobile menu, the photo gallery, the language choice and the cookie banner, works with the keyboard. A "Skip to content" link lets you skip the menu.
- Clearly visible focus indicators on links and buttons.
- If you set your device to show less motion, we switch off animations and parallax effects.
- The menu and drinks list are published as plain text on the website, not as an image or PDF.
- The contact form has a label for every field and gives a clear message after sending.
- The website is available in Dutch, English, French and Italian.
Known limitations
- Some decorative texts and the labels of the contact form have a colour contrast lower than the WCAG standard recommends. This is part of the current house style; we are looking at how to improve it without losing the atmosphere of the website.
- The booking module is provided by Lightspeed. We have limited influence on its accessibility. If online booking does not work for you, call us on +32 3 289 88 88 or email info@benoti.be and we will gladly make the booking for you.
- The map on the contact page is an image. The address is shown next to it as text: Bresstraat 2A, 2018 Antwerp.
Preparation of this statement
